Footsteps

I have been living in my home for over a year now,and thought i had overheard strange noises for the longest time,but now i know that there is a prescence. In the first few months that i was living there,i heard little taps here and there. But now its way more than taps. My bedroom is right by the basement,and the basement has a staircase. So i am right above the basement. Sometimes,I will hear big loud banging noises coming from my basement. And I know that im the only one home. My little sister sleeps with me,and she is very truthful. She said that she went to the basement one one night and heard very deep breathing noises by our furnace. And she could tell something was there,because it was something breathing. I believe her. And I told her that I had heard noises coming from our basement.

One night,me and my sister were sleeping. And I woke up because I heard footsteps coming down the hallway,into my room..and the footsteps got louder as they reached my bedside. They stopped for a little while,so i tryed to calm myself down and tryed not to wake my little sister up. Finally,when I calmed myself down,my little sister woke up and grabbed my arm so tight. She was in a cold sweat,and she was running out of breath and shaking. Her skin was pale. Her eyes were dialated when she looked at me. She was so frightened. She said,"Im scared." And i asked her what she was scared of. She said she heard big,loud footsteps by the bedside. And I told her that I heard the same thing. I just told her not to be afraid,even though I couldnt believe that she heard the same thing.

It was a few months after,which was a few days ago from today,I heard those footsteps by my bedside again. When I woke up,my back hurt. I went to look in the mirror and there were strange markings on my back. Scratches. But I couldnt have made them in my sleep,because there is nothing sharp by my bed. And I wouldnt cutt my back. I am just curious as to what it really was. Ive woken up with cuts before,but not on my back. All I know is that it was something really big.
